Fantastic Monsters of the Films: The Complete Collection Comes to Kickstarter
Classic monsters, terrifying creatures and unforgettable moments from the golden age of horror cinema are coming together in Fantastic Monsters of the Films, our latest Kickstarter project.
For fans of vintage horror, classic cinema and monster magazines, this collection brings together all seven issues of Fantastic Monsters of the Films in one premium hardback edition, offering the complete series in a beautifully produced book.
A Celebration of Classic Movie Monsters
Long before modern blockbusters turned monsters into global franchises, the creatures of classic horror cinema captured the imagination of audiences around the world.
From vampires and werewolves to giant creatures, mysterious aliens and other things that went bump in the night, the monsters of the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s became some of the most recognisable characters in cinema history.
Fantastic Monsters of the Films celebrates that golden age of monster movies, taking a nostalgic look at the films, creatures and stars that helped establish horror and science fiction as enduring genres.
The series is packed with vintage-inspired material celebrating the world of classic monster cinema, making it a perfect companion for anyone fascinated by the history and imagery of these unforgettable films.
From the Classic Monster Magazine Tradition
Monster magazines became hugely popular during the mid-20th century, offering fans a way to discover more about their favourite horror films, creatures and stars long after they had left the cinema.
Publications dedicated to horror and science fiction helped create a growing community of fans who wanted more than simply watching the films. They wanted photographs, artwork, stories, behind-the-scenes information and a closer look at the monsters themselves.
Fantastic Monsters of the Films continues that tradition, drawing on the distinctive visual style and atmosphere of classic monster publications while celebrating the films that made these creatures legendary.
It's a love letter to an era when movie monsters were larger than life and horror cinema had an unmistakable sense of mystery.
All Seven Issues in One Premium Edition
The Kickstarter campaign gives fans the opportunity to collect Issues #1–7 together in one premium Bookshop Edition.
Rather than tracking down individual issues, the complete series will be presented as a substantial, high-quality hardback designed with collectors in mind.
For those looking for something extra special, the campaign also includes a Slipcase Edition, giving the complete collection an additional premium finish.
We've also created reward tiers featuring a set of postcards and an A3 poster celebrating classic monster movies, giving collectors the opportunity to add some vintage monster atmosphere to their collection.
A Special Kickstarter Price
One of the biggest advantages of backing the project on Kickstarter is the opportunity to secure your copy at a special pledge price below the eventual RRP.
So whether you're already familiar with Fantastic Monsters of the Films or discovering the series for the first time, the Kickstarter is the perfect opportunity to secure the complete collection.
A Must-Have for Classic Horror Fans
The appeal of classic monster movies has never really disappeared. The characters, creatures and imagery created during the golden age of horror continue to influence filmmakers, artists, comic creators and collectors today.
From the shadowy atmosphere of early horror films to the spectacular creatures of 1950s science fiction, these movies established a visual language that remains instantly recognisable.
Fantastic Monsters of the Films celebrates that legacy and brings seven issues together in one definitive collection.
