Sci-Fi Classics - Volume 11 - Slipcase Edition
Sci-Fi Classics Volume 11 collects the Gale Allen and Futura stories from Planet Comics, Fiction House's science fiction anthology. Gale Allen appears in issues 4 to 25 (April 1940 to July 1943) and Futura in issues 43 to 48 (July 1946 to May 1947).
Gale Allen is a Venusian princess, descended from King Rogert, the first human to land on Venus. As a captain in the Universal Space Patrol she commands the Girl Squadron, the 40th Women's Space Battalion, made up entirely of female pilots and soldiers. Her early enemy is Prince Blaga Daru, a tyrant who nearly conquered the Earth.
Futura is Marcia Reynolds, a technical secretary abducted by the Brain-Lords of Cymradia and held as Specimen Nine of Project: Survival. She rallies the other captives, escapes, and then takes on space pirates including Yrina, Omma and Captain Blargo, the Lawless.
