Fawcett Comics
Fawcett Comics, known for creating Captain Marvel in 1940, was a major Golden Age publisher but ceased superhero titles in the 1950s due to legal issues with DC Comics. After exiting the industry in 1953, DC later licensed Fawcett’s characters, reviving Captain Marvel in 1972. Fawcett’s legacy remains significant for its contributions to superhero comics and copyright law.
