DELL COMICS
Dell Comics, founded in 1929, was a major American publisher known for adapting popular newspaper comic strips into comic books. They gained prominence in the 1940s and 1950s with licensed properties like Disney characters, Tarzan, and The Lone Ranger. Dell also introduced Dell Giants, featuring longer stories and higher-quality printing. By the 1960s, Dell shifted focus to traditional comic book genres but faced competition from Marvel and DC Comics. Dell ceased publication in 1974 but left a lasting legacy through its diverse range of titles and popular characters.
